How to Become
More Naturally Raw
- Make
sure to eat three portions of fresh fruit a day, preferably of
differing colors. This
will immediately upgrade your vitamin intake and begin to
normalize your digestion.
The differing colors mean different vitamins and
nutrients are contained within.
A good array would be a banana, some blueberries and a
slice of melon or some strawberries.
Fruit gives you natural sugars and cravings for other
types of artificial sugars can really ease up.
- Begin
to incorporate vegetables instead of starches.
For example, instead of pasta, use those lovely dark
leafy lettuces, butter lettuce and spinaches.
These will immediately give you nutrients like iron.
They are a wonderful crisp flavor with things like
stews and such. While
increasing your raw life, you can convert many things to
“more” raw. Eat
tuna and fish over lettuces as well.
Lovely contrast in both flavor and texture, as well as
temperature. Use
lightly steamed cauliflower, mashed, instead of mashed potato.
So much better for you and delicious.
- Reduce
the dairy products in your life.
Things like calcium can be obtained through dark leafy
greens and such. Dairy
products have a strong tendency to fill your system with mucus
which disallows the raw foods to do their cleansing best.
By reducing that mucus, you allow all the great
nutrients in the foods you eat to enter your system and your
body can utilize them.
There
are many small changes you can make in your everyday life that
will bring you closer to great health.
These three easy steps will get you that much closer.
